Where Did All the Protesters Go? eugene tv

local tv station kezi has produced a three-part news series taking a look back at the social upheavals in eugene in the late 90’s, and aking where the protesters have gone…

EUGENE, Ore. — Whether accurate or not, the City of Eugene is seen by many as a town that will protest just about anything.

From University of Oregon gatherings decrying the Vietnam War to activists climbing up trees to keep the federal government from clear-cutting, there’s certainly been no shortage of examples that highlight an active protest community in our area. But, as of late, there seems to be a sense things have quieted down.
