EUGENE, Ore. — Whether accurate or not, the City of Eugene is seen by many as a town that will protest just about anything.
From University of Oregon gatherings decrying the Vietnam War to activists climbing up trees to keep the federal government from clear-cutting, there’s certainly been no shortage of examples that highlight an active protest community in our area. But, as of late, there seems to be a sense things have quieted down.
